Meet Céline Tuttle
Céline began her dance journey in the early 2000s as a competitive dancer in Brantford, Ontario. In 2015, Céline moved to London, Ontario to study Food and Nutritional Sciences at Brescia University College (Western University). She graduated in 2020 with a BScFN.
Â
During her time at university, Céline completed her Module One and Two Certifications through Acrobatic Arts, and began teaching acro and dance for local dance studios. She now has over 10 years of experience as a dance teacher, as well as some experience as a group fitness instructor, and currently teaches competitive and recreational acro and dance at Needham School of Dance in Strathroy, Ontario.

In 2024, Céline went back to school to attend Fanshawe College for their Social Service Worker program. Although Céline was at the top of her class, her time at Fanshawe was short-lived, since she was disappointed by the SSW program's unethical practices through its structure and delivery. While at Fanshawe, Céline was on the Peer Support Team through the college's Counselling and Accessibility Services. Not only is Céline trained in Peer Support, but has acquired her Mental Health First Aid and Psychological First Aid. Additionally, Céline has an active First Aid for Opioid Poisoning Emergencies.Â
Â
From her years of teaching dance, Céline's pedagogy is rooted in building strong foundations. Through slow and steady progressions, Céline teaches her dancers how the small, and sometimes boring, actions can develop consistent and long-term results. With patience and self-compassion, dancers can feel safe and confident while executing complex skills. These foundational building tools are transferable for dancers to apply in the real world when they graduate, so they know that when life gets messy, they have a solid foundation to fall back on.Â
A Short Story
About Balter
Balter Arts & Movement (BAM) is a small-business focused on making dance and movement more accessible and inclusive to the London, Ontario community.

Here at BAM, we envision a future where the arts and expressive movement intersect to challenge harmful societal systems by empowering individuals to reconnect with themselves and their communities. As a result, we hope to abolish current social barriers and ideologies of dance and movement by reframing narratives, such as dance as a form of intentional movement and an expression of feeling, rather than being a specific shape.
Â
Programs are designed to center wellness, creativity, and self-expression, rather than performance or hard skills. BAM is on a mission to provide the community joyful movement experiences that support physical, emotional, and social wellness for people of all ages and abilities.
